Vice Principal (Emeritus) of LAMDA
Upon graduating from the Director’s Course at London’s Drama Centre, Colin became Assistant Director at the Royal Court, London. In 1973, he directed a production of Stephen Poliakoff’s Pretty Boy. After being Associate Director for the Rocky Horror Show, he joined the Royal Shakespeare Company as Assistant Director. Whilst at the RSC, Colin directed Uncle Vanya and re-directed Twelfth Night at the Aldwych. He has also worked as a Consultant Researcher for BBC Television and an Associate Producer for Bullfinch Productions. Colin has taught extensively in the UK and America at LAMDA, the Drama Centre, Miami University and in the theatre design department at the Central School of Art, London.
He has been an acting tutor at LAMDA since 1979 and he often directs final year productions for the Two and Three Year Professional Acting Courses.
