Harold Sanditen was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma but has lived in London since 1987. After completing his MBA at the Wharton School in 1983, Harold lived in New York from 1983 to 1987, where he worked for Bessemer Securities Corporation, a private investment company.
In October 1989, Harold founded Sandpiper Productions Limited: an independent theatre production company specialising in contemporary drama and musicals. His subsequent producing credits include Unsuspecting Susan (King’s Head, London and 59E 59 Theatres, New York, with Celia Imrie), The Slow Drag (Whitehall and Freedom Theatres, London), St. George (workshop, London), Abundance (Riverside Studios, London in a first-time sponsorship by Evian), The Night Larry Kramer Kissed Me (UK tour), The Fabulous Lypsinka Show (UK tour), Temporary Girl (UK Tour and Theatre Project, Baltimore), A Day In The Death Of Joe Egg (King’s Head, London with Clive Owen), A Shayna Maidel (Kings Head and Ambassadors Theatre, London with Anita Dobson), The Boys Next Door (Assembly Rooms, Edinburgh; Hampstead and Comedy Theatres, London with Steve Guttenberg), Being At Home With Claude (King’s Head and Vaudeville Theatres, London with Lothaire Bluteau), The Real World? (Soho Theatre, London) and Hospitality (Viceroy, London with Lesley Joseph).
Harold has also acted as General Manager on Definitely Doris (King’s Head, London) and Tabloid Caligula (59E59 Theaters, New York, and Arcola, London). While working for Bill Kenwright from 1999 to 2001, Harold was the line producer on Cat On A Hot Tin Roof (with Brendan Fraser), Long Day’s Journey Into Night (with Jessica Lange) and Fallen Angels (with Felicity Kendal and Frances de la Tour).
Harold made his stage debut in his solo show, The Secret Of Life, at the Duplex Cabaret Theater, New York, in September, 2008. He will be performing the show in London later n 2008.
