Student Scholarships & Bursaries

Every year, LAMDA is able to offer a range of scholarships and bursaries thanks to the tremendous generosity of a wide variety of donors.

The LAMDA Student Scholarships & Bursaries Scheme aims to ensure that any talented student is able to take up their place to train at the Academy, regardless of their financial circumstances.

LAMDA scholarships and bursaries vary in size, but some may cover fees and/or up to half of a student’s annual living expenses. All scholarships and bursaries are allocated at the Academy’s discretion. Scholarships are available for students currently studying at the Academy. In light of rising tuition fees, from 2012/13, the Academy will be offering a number of scholarships to incoming students prior to the start of their training.*

LAMDA’s General Bursary Fund (working title) provides smaller bursaries for students who find themselves in financial difficulties during their training. Those wishing to support LAMDA’s Scholarships & Bursaries Scheme who are unable to provide a named scholarship can make a donation to the General Bursary Fund.

Our generous scholarship and bursary supporters have the satisfaction of knowing that they are making a direct difference to the lives of students training at the Academy. By providing a scholarship or bursary, our donors give talented students the chance to pursue their chosen career and become actors, directors, stage managers or theatre technicians.
