There is a wide range of financial support available for UK and EU students training on LAMDA courses funded by the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) i.e. our BA (Hons) Professional Acting, Foundation Degree Professional Acting and Foundation Degree Stage Management & Technical Theatre. Whether you are eligible for some/all of this support depends on your household income and the stage you have reached in your education.
If you are new to higher education and do not already have a degree, you will be considered for funding as an undergraduate. If you already have a degree and are coming to LAMDA to complete a further qualification, you will be considered for funding as a postgraduate.
For Undergraduate Students
Undergraduate students on our BA (Hons) Professional Acting, Foundation Degree Professional Acting and Foundation Degree Stage Management & Technical Theatre may be eligible to apply for loans from the Student Loans Company (SLC). Application is through Student Finance England and you may apply for maintenance loans to help with your living costs and tuition fee loans to cover the cost of your tuition. You may also be eligible to receive a maintenance grant.
For more information or to apply, visit www.gov.uk/student-finance.
Note: Applicants do not have to wait for an offer of a place to apply for student loans and you are strongly advised to make your application as soon as possible. Remember, you will need to reapply for your loans each year that you are training.
For Postgraduate Students
You may be eligible to apply for a Professional & Career Development loan. These can be used to pay for the majority of your tuition fees or be put towards your living costs.
