On Saturday 13 February 2010, LAMDA’s MacOwan Theatre (Kensington, W8) will open its doors for the Academy’s annual Stage Management & Technical Theatre Open Day.
The event, which runs from 2pm to 5pm, is a chance for guests to learn more about backstage careers in the entertainment industry. Whether you have always dreamed of working behind-the-scenes of a West End theatre or simply want to find out more about the type of technical training that LAMDA offers, our Open Day will help you make informed choices for your future.
At the Open Day, you will have an opportunity to meet LAMDA tutors and learn more about lighting, sound, stage management and scenic construction at the Academy. You will talk to current students and recent graduates – many of whom work in the top theatres, film and television companies. You will also have a chance to seek practical advice about LAMDA’s admissions process and the rigours of training at drama school.
The minimum age for entrance to LAMDA is 18, but we welcome anyone to join us for the day. Places are, however, limited so please book early by contacting Rob Young, Course Director, on
(020) 7341 9464 or rob.young@lamda.org.uk
LAMDA has been a leader in the provision of new technical theatre talent for over 40 years. We look forward to sharing our experience with you.
