Loans and Funding - UK / EU Students

UK Government Funding - UPDATE AS OF 4 JUNE 2008

Tuition fees for all eligible UK / EU students at university and all Higher Education courses will rise to £3,145 for 2008 / 09.

All eligible UK / EU students offered places on the LAMDA Three and Two Year Acting courses and the Two Year Stage Management & Technical Theatre course will be charged no more than £3,145 for 2008 / 09.

Eligible undergraduate UK students on these courses can also apply for a loan to pay for their tuition fees and possible loans and grants to help towards their living expenses through their Local Education Authorities (LEAs) as at other Higher Education Institutions.

Eligible undergraduate EU students on the Three and Two Year Acting courses and the Two Year Stage Management & Technical Theatre course can also apply for loans.

For further information on funding and eligibility, all UK / EU students should refer to www.studentfinancedirect.co.uk.

UK-based EU students may be eligible for funding from their LEAs in the UK - contact the Student Support Section of your LEA who can provide further information.

IMPORTANT : It is essential that students find out what their financial position is regarding funding as soon as possible and certainly before attending a recall audition at LAMDA. Students do not have to wait for an offer of a place to apply to their LEAs for funding.

NOTE: There is no UK government funding through LEAs or otherwise available for students on the Foundation course. Some students on the course have financed themselves with career development loans, see below for details.

Bank loans
