“[LAMDA examinations] make you confident when speaking in front of people. They also help you with your breathing and teach you how to pronounce your letters properly. They helped me prepare for the show too [Mary Poppins], because they taught me how to remember lines and song words.”
Isabella Sedgwick - West End Performer

“The examinations were an acknowledgment of my talent from a prestigious organisation and this gave me a real confidence boost. Taking LAMDA examinations gives you a good grounding and teaches you so much that you will need later on. They are hard work, but they are worth it.”

Neil Gaiman – Author

“I know how to read and think about a piece, to think about the character’s motivations and frame of mind. I’m also aware of the setting and background of scripts because of the Knowledge section of the exam. I think it has helped me to be calmer in auditions because I’m used to taking exams. And it’s helped me get pretty good at learning lines.”
Izzy Meikle-Small - Actor
