OES: The Online Entry System

Benefits of Using OES

Since the original pilot version went live in September 2005, OES has enjoyed an ever-increasing profile. Listed below are some of the advantages offered by OES which have so far proved particularly popular with centre co-ordinators.

OES automatically calculates the length of your examinations

OES displays both the length of individual exams and the total examining time entered. This not only makes it easy to decide how to divide your exams between the number of days you have booked, but also means you will be alerted if your time exceeds six hours of examining time per day and you need to contact LAMDA Examinations to request an additional examiner.

OES helps us to further improve the accuracy of our service

When staff manually enter candidate and examination details there is the small possibility that handwriting may be misread, resulting in the incorrect reproduction of candidates’ names or exams. OES submissions are downloaded directly into our scheduling software thus preventing any such errors.

OES automatically calculates your fees

As well as displaying the individual cost of each exam entered, OES provides a rolling total for your reference.

OES allows you to pay for your exams online

After you have submitted your entries, OES gives you the opportunity to pay the total outstanding by credit or debit card via PayPal. It should be pointed out, however, that should you prefer to pay by cheque, this can still be done.

OES removes the risk of entries being lost/delayed in the post

Electronic submission is instant: OES is able to provide you with immediate confirmation of receipt.

OES allows you to enter details at your convenience

As with paper submission, it is not necessary to enter all candidates’ details in one sitting: our secure server saves the information entered enabling you to log out and return to your entries whenever you have a spare moment.
