Higher Level Examinations
The LAMDA Certificate in Speech and Drama: Performance Studies (PCertLAM) is designed to:
- Develop the skills, knowledge and understanding required for the performance of verse, prose and drama
- Assist learners with essential underpinning skills, knowledge and understanding to enable progression onto the LAMDA Diploma in Speech and Drama Education.
Learners who prepare themselves appropriately will develop:
- interpretative skills
- technical skills
- knowledge of the performance process

The LAMDA Diploma in Communication, Speech and Drama Education (LSDE) has been designed to:
- Develop the skills, knowledge and understanding required to teach speech and drama, primarily in the context of graded examinations within the private sector
- Provide opportunities for learners to gain a strong foundation for further study on related educational programmes.
This diploma enables learners to develop essential skills and knowledge in areas of study which reflect the complex role of the speech and drama teacher. The programme will combine research, analysis and reflection, leading to the application of this knowledge in practical employment-based tasks.
