Philosophy

Businesses grow and develop when people change the way they work together.

Tell them to change, and the chances are they won't. Leave it to trial and error, and one error too many could cost a company dear. By the time the lessons are learnt, it could be too late.

LAMDA Business Performance is a training organisation that takes the risk out of trial and error. It provides a secure environment in which individuals can focus on personal and professional inter-relationships: inter-relationships that affect the successful management of businesses, and everyone's life both inside and outside the workplace.

LAMDA Business Performance offers opportunities that the workplace can't: opportunities to engage in mental and logistical challenges and exercises; opportunities to re-invent working situations, to stop the action, to make mistakes in safety, to play out different possibilities, to examine and experience what works, and to discover - with absolute clarity - what you really know.

Clients include leading corporates, the professions, and the public sector. Courses cover areas crucial to the transformation of modern businesses: team-building, inter-departmental communication, presentation skills, public speaking, management development, managing change, staff motivation and customer care. Training is provided one-to-one and to groups, large and small. It can be structured on a one-off, on-going, day-long or residential basis. It is tailor made to the needs of each individual client.

LAMDA Business Performance is the commercial training arm of one of the UK's leading drama schools. Its staff are experts at constructing, presenting and addressing the situations and issues which must be properly managed to secure a business' success. But LAMDA Business Performance is not a spectator sport. The fundamental principle is: the lessons that people learn for themselves are the lessons that stick.
