This course consists of six separate modules which can be taken individually over a number of weeks, or in a single, day-long block. It's designed to provide new managers with a solid base of skills as a foundation for a future in this specialist area; it's also styled to enable established managers to refresh their skills.
Participants are coached in management theory before putting theory into practice through a series of participatory sessions. Successful management is a complex art. It demands the subtle, sensitive and calculated application of a range of personal and business capabilities.
The course explores those key capabilities. It looks at leadership; it examines ssues of negotiation and influencing; it considers approaches to delegation and coaching; it surveys and examines the best ways of handling communication and feedback.
