Examiner for the LAMDA Level 2 Award in Speaking and Listening Skills

CONTRACT: Self-employed, consultancy agreement basis
ANNUAL SALARY: £169 for 6.5 hours daily rate / £90 for 0.5 day rate with £30 per additional hour

LAMDA is seeking examiners based in the UK to examine a brand new qualification in speaking and listening skills. This qualification has been designed to support our current portfolio of qualifications, assessing the technical skills, knowledge and understanding required for effective oral communication. The qualification will be available for teaching from 1 October 2016, with first assessment in January 2017.

Publications Officer

CONTRACT: Open-ended, full-time
HOURS OF WORK: 35 hours per week
ANNUAL SALARY: £23,000 - £27,000 plus benefits

We are currently seeking a robust Publications Officer to work within our examinations department and to be responsible for our full range of publications from commissioning and editing to publishing and sales.

The successful candidate will have proven commissioning experience in a publishing function. S/he will have excellent project management skills along with highly developed interpersonal, organisational and communication skills. Furthermore, the post holder will be flexible, adaptable and have the ability to work autonomously and under pressure.

Web & Digital Media Assistant

CONTRACT: Full-time, permanent
HOURS OF WORK: 35 hours per week
ANNUAL SALARY: £17,000 plus benefits

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and proactive individual looking to start a career in digital marketing. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining content on the LAMDA website and supporting the delivery of digital campaigns and materials. They will also administer elements of LAMDA’s e-commerce and customer relationship management systems, with specific responsibility for maintaining up-to-date marketing data.

The post-holder will have good working knowledge of CMS, ideally Drupal, and social media platforms. In addition, s/he will possess excellent written and oral communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.

Senior Construction Tutor

CONTRACT: Permanent, full-time
HOURS OF WORK: 40 hours per week; evening and weekend work will be required for this role

We are seeking a Senior Construction Tutor to join our well established Stage Management and Technical Theatre Course.

You will be responsible for overseeing the construction and scenic elements for all LAMDA Productions. To accomplish this, you will have demonstrable experience in a professional workshop environment and must be comfortable working with all major tools and materials. You will possess extensive knowledge of all aspects of scenery construction and technical procedures in a venue. Furthermore, you will be highly motivated and have excellent communication and organisation skills.

Theatre Sound Tutor

We are currently seeking a talented Theatre Sound Tutor to work on our well established Management and Technical Theatre Course. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of all aspects of theatre sound, sound design and technical procedures.

You will be responsible for the supervision of all sound work and student teams assigned to the department on all LAMDA productions. Furthermore, you will have exceptional organisation and communication skills, and have the ability to build relationships at all levels.

Examiners for LAMDA Graded Examinations

CONTRACT: Self-employed
SALARY: £169 daily rate (up to 6.5 hours) / £91 half day rate (up to 3.5 hours) / £30 per additional hour over 6.5 hours

LAMDA is seeking examiners based in the UK to examine our suite of Communication, Performance and Musical Theatre examinations. Please note this role does not currently include examining for the LAMDA Level 2 Award in Speaking and Listening Skills.

We are currently seeking an ambitious Schools Award Officer to join our very busy examinations department in supporting the monitoring, delivery and administration of the qualifications within the LAMDA Schools Award portfolio and LAMDA’s graded examinations.

The successful candidate will have proven experience gained within a qualifications/exams administration role. S/he will have strong communication, organisational and customer service skills.
