How to Apply
You can apply online for all our courses. Click on the button below to begin your application.
The button takes you to a secure online application system, which is operated by LAMDA and allows prospective students to apply for LAMDA courses and pay application fees. Once you have registered, you don't have to complete your application in one sitting; you can return to your application form to make changes at any point before you submit it.
Making an online application is the quickest, cheapest and easiest way to apply. However, you can download a hard copy application form from the Admissions section on individual course pages.

Applications for all of our full-time courses opens on 30 September 2016 and applicants are advised to apply as early as possible.
The deadline for our BA (Hons) Professional Acting, FdA Professional Acting & MA Acting* is 1 March 2017**.
The deadline for our FdA Stage Management & Technical Theatre, MA Directing, Postgraduate Diplomas (for Designers and Musical Directors) and Foundation Diploma is 2 May 2017.
There is no application deadline for our Semester Diplomas or Short Courses. You should apply as soon as possible, however, as places are limited.
* MA in Classical Acting for Professional Theatre: We are currently accepting applications for 2017 entry with the John Wood Fulbright scholarship only.
**Please note if you are planning on auditioning in North America for you are advised to apply as early as possible. Auditions take place between January and March and spaces are limited.
Applications cannot be accepted after the advertised deadlines under any circumstances.
Applicants should include the relevant application/audition/interview fee with their application.
Applicants for our BA (Hons) Professional Acting, FdA Professional Acting, MA Classical Acting for the Professional Theatre, MA Directing, Postgraduate Diplomas and Foundation Diploma should include:
£49 by credit or debit card or £63 by cheque (online application) / £63 by cheque (paper application) for an audition in the UK, Dublin or Paris, or
£77 by credit or debit card or £87 by cheque (online application) / £87 by cheque (paper application) for an audition in North America or another non-EU venue
Applicants for our FdA Management & Technical Theatre should include a £31 by debit or credit card or £42 by cheque (online application) / £42 by cheque (paper application) interview fee. Interviews for this course are held in London only.
Applicants for our Semester Diploma and Short Courses should include a £21 by credit or debit card or £32 by cheque (online) / £32 by cheque (hard copy) application fee.
Note: the application/audition/interview fee is non-returnable and must be paid in pounds sterling. You can pay by credit or debit card for an online application and by cheque for all applications (paper and online). Cheques should be made payable to LAMDA Limited and can only be accepted from sterling bank accounts. Money orders cannot be accepted in any currency, nor can we accept payment of these fees by direct bank transfer.
Through the Conservatoire for Dance and Drama, we are able to offer a number of free audition and interview places each year. Please click here to see if you are eligible.
Incomplete applications will be returned.
There is no need to send transcripts, headshots or any other photos with your application.
References are only required for our Short Courses (but not our English Communications Skills Through Drama course).
You cannot apply to LAMDA via UCAS and we are unable to offer deferred entry to any of our courses.
The minimum entry age for LAMDA courses is 18 (with the exception of our Introduction to Drama School, Audition Technique, Introduction to Screen Acting and Introduction to Musical Theatre Short Courses, which have a minimum age of 16). There is no upper age limit.
International (non-EU) students are currently unable to enrol on our Foundation Diploma or Postgraduate Diplomas due to UK visa regulations. Click here for more information on visas and immigration.
Note: LAMDA is a liberal institution. In the pursuit of excellence, we work with plays and texts that express the widest possible range of views and beliefs. Our students must therefore be willing to play any character these texts may involve, including roles of either gender and any race or faith. Acceptance of a place at LAMDA will be deemed acceptance of the Academy’s training requirements.
