Grads, Examiners & Former Staff Make New Memories at LAMDA
Graduates from the last fifty years mingled with our class of 2016, former LAMDA tutors chatted to current LAMDA Examiners, while staff past and present traded stories, creating new memories in our gorgeous new spaces.
Over 150 people toasted the Manny and Brigitta Davidson Foyer, The Carne Studio Theatre, The Sackler Library and our exceptional new training and rehearsal spaces over the course of the afternoon on Sunday 25 June. Demonstrations throughout the building, alongside screenings in our new fully-equipped Screen and Audio Suite showed the full capacity of what LAMDA's redevelopment can do. In a speech from the stage of The Sainsbury Theatre, Principal Joanna Read welcomed the crowd home and explained the importance of LAMDA’s new facilities: "This will futureproof us, & enable us to be more bold, more brilliant."
It was a pleasure to see so many familiar faces back in the building – our thanks to everyone who helped to make the day so special and we look forward to seeing many of you again soon.
